OUR PRIORITY: YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY
As part of our normal daily operations, we continue to observe the following safeguards against the spread of disease. These are the standard protocols that we have always and continue to follow to ensure that patients and team members are safe:
On top of this, we want you to feel comfortable and are increasing our investment in your health and well-being by offering the following safeguards:
- Hand sanitizer is offered at our front desk and in every examination room
- Before you enter the examination room, all surfaces, such as the dental chair, dental light, drawer handles and countertops, have been cleaned and disinfected thoroughly with medical grade disinfectants that kill 99.9% of all bacteria and viruses.
- New chair covers and equipment barriers are used for each patient.
- All instruments go through physical (ultrasonic), chemical, and steam sterilization processes.
- Non-disposable items such as dental tools and instruments are cleaned and sterilized between patients using hospital grade sterilization equipment. Our sterilization equipment is monitored and tested on a regular basis.
- Items that cannot be sterilized or disinfected are disposed after single-use.
- All team members have received formal infection control training.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn by the clinical team for all procedures, as this protects both the patient and the clinical team. Before seeing the next patient, everyone on the treatment team disinfects their hands and puts on a new pair of gloves.
- We frequently clean and disinfect the lobby area and reception counter multiple times throughout the day, and are even more diligent today.
- Each Young Dental Group team member is screened for COVID-19 daily. If they are a risk, they are not permitted on the premises and are advised to stay at home for the safety of our patients and team members.
On top of this, we want you to feel comfortable and are increasing our investment in your health and well-being by offering the following safeguards:
- All team members and patients will have their temperature checked upon arrival.
- All high traffic surfaces including the countertops in the reception area and all handles to doors are wiped down and disinfected on an hourly basis. Again, each treatment room is thoroughly disinfected between every patient.
- All patients will rinse with an antimicrobial mouth rinse at every patient visit.
- In our reception area, we've installed a robust HEPA air purifier to safely remove 99.97% of airborne particles including viruses, bacteria, mold, cigarette smoke, and allergens such as pollen, ragweed, and dust mites.
- In our treatment areas, we've installed PECO air purifiers to destroy 99.9994% of airborne bacteria, viruses, and other pollutants.
- If you would like a mask, please ask someone at the front desk, and you will be given a mask to wear in the waiting room for your safety. You will not need the mask when you are being treated as your doctor and treatment team will be wearing their PPE which includes them wearing masks which will protect you.
